Unfortunately the OP's Lexmoto doesn't have the same sort of electrical system. The spark-plugs get the electric to make the spark from the battery, timed by a box of tricks triggered off a crank sensor. Yup, that was the fault on YOUR bike you have an alternator that charges the battery. If there's an engine prob there will be tiny bits of mettalic sludge on the drain plug. To check engine mechanics,drain the oil.checking sump plug and any gauze filter. I usually make sure engine is warm and set a higher tickover before adjusting mixture screw.
Remember to wait at least ten seconds after turning mixture screw. this is a major problem for me since when I ride on higher speeds and the engine dies without me hearing that it did, and then if I put some throttle on the engine it kick starts which causes the back wheel to skid for a second.Īs previous poster ,start with a good plug,then check carb needle is OK,no inlet airleaks or blocked jets,check petrol filter ,drain carb bowl and check float height. To stop this I constantly have to put a little rev on the engine so it wouldn't die which is a big problem since a cant break with the front brakes that way.
